ONLY MEMBERS CLASSIFIED BY THE BIRMINGHAM BAR AS "ACTIVE" WHO HAVB PAID THEIR 2009 MEMBERSHIP DUES WILL BE ELEGIBILE TO VOTE.  If you are unsure if you qualify, contact Beth Carmichael at (205) 251-8006 or bethc@birminghambar.org.

You will need your ASB number; it is printed on your Alabama Law License and looks like this: ASB-9999-A99A.  The BBA will not give out ASB numbers.  You must look on your license to practice law to find your ASB number.  If you cannot do this, call the Alabama State Bar to verify your ASB number.  If you have voted online, you will not be allowed to cast a paper ballot.  You may only vote once.  No list of votes cast, or voters participating in the election, will be made available to anyone under any circumstances except those persons in charge of running the election and tabulating votes.  Online voting begins Friday, December 4th and closes Thursday, December 10th at 4:00 p.m.  Voting on Friday, December 11th must be done in person at the Birmingham Bar Center.  Voting in person will begin at 9:00 A.M. on the first floor level of the Birmingham Bar Center.  The polls will close promptly at 1:00 P. M.  Only members classified as Active, who are current in their dues payment, will be entitled to vote.  Election results will be announced during the meeting.

Online voting for the 2009 Birmingham Bar Association officer election has closed.  You may still vote in person at the Birmingham Bar Center on Friday, December 11th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Results will be announced at the annual meeting to be held in the Presiding Judge's Courtroom, Jefferson County Courthouse, on December 11th beginning at 2 p.m.
